GREENVILLE, SC, January 5, 2010 – Today the Trey Gowdy for Congress Campaign responds to Congressman Inglis’s call for debates, and the answer is an enthusiastic “yes”.
As Gowdy said on June 1, 2009 when he announced his candidacy for Congress he is happy to debate Congressman Inglis anytime their schedules allow, so long as the debates do not interfere with work at the Solicitor’s Office. Gowdy has four trials already scheduled for the spring of 2010.
“The public understandably wants to hear from the candidates on issues including economic recovery, job creation, bailouts for banks, Congress’s attempt to nationalize healthcare, carbon taxes, and excessive Congressional spending and travel. I am excited about the chance to debate these issues” Gowdy said today.
Gowdy and Inglis have already had two debates: one in August at a GOP Women’s Club and another in October at BMW.
The Gowdy Campaign is happy to help any Republican, Civic, or News outlets in the 4th District host a debate.
