The national press has begun to realize the momentum behind Trey Gowdy’s campaign for Congress. In case you missed it, we have included an excerpt from a recent Politico story:
“Inglis, who represents one of the most socially conservative districts in the nation, is facing a potentially devastating charge in the June 8 primary: that he’s gone wobbly on conservative issues.
Inglis has four serious GOP opponents — led by Spartanburg County Solicitor Trey Gowdy — who are pointing to Inglis’s opposition to warrantless electronic surveillance, the military surge in Iraq, drilling in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and his work on a 2007 effort to draft a bill aimed at reducing carbon emissions as evidence that Inglis has softened the conservatism that defined his first tour in the House in the 1990s.”
We have gained a lot of attention and support for the campaign in recent months. We thank you for everything that you have contributed to our success thus far. But for the campaign to continue on its current path we will need your continued help and support.
