A last minute negative advertising blitz, paid for by the campaign of Congressman Bob Inglis, is attacking Trey Gowdy. These attacks are totally false and could not be further from the truth. The rehashed attack has already been shown to be false in recent news articles in the The Spartanburg Herald Journal and The Greenville News.
“I would’ve hoped for better from Congressman Inglis than last minute untruthful attack ads. I call on him to pull the ads down immediately. Bob Inglis is attacking me for having the exact same position as Senator Jim DeMint trying to claim we are in support of earmarks for the Union Lake Project. It is flat out dishonest.” Gowdy said.
The Inglis campaign has continued to ramp up the negative rhetoric in the final weeks of this election. This, however, is the first attack ad to be run by any of the candidates seeking the Fourth Congressional District seat.
