We are writing you before Tuesday because our gratitude is not contingent upon the results of the election. We are so grateful for your support, your friendship, your generosity, and your prayers. The past 17 months have been among the best of our lives. We have met so many wonderful people and learned even more about this great place we have called home for all of our lives. The challenges our country faces are great but so too is the resiliency and the strength of our fellow citizens. To each of you who have hosted coffees and parties, introduced us to your families and friends, offered an encouraging word or put us on your prayer lists, we are so grateful and thankful.
Trey has been a prosecutor for the past 16 years and working in and around law enforcement shows you a different side of life. One of the common refrains from the past 17 months is the acknowledgement that there are exponentially more good people than those who seek to do wrong, more honest people than dishonest, and more kindness than malice. Thank you for everything. Above all for your love of this country and your desire to see the American Dream thrive for everyone. God bless you and God bless our country and our state.
